Diversity Club

Have you heard about the Diversity Club? Anyone can join. It's exicting because you get to learn about different cultures and meet people with backrounds from around the world. I been involved in this group since my 9th grade year at Sheffield High. We get to go on field trips like, African April where we see the different clothing native to each culture. Tasting new and interesting food is my favorite part of the festival. They hold summer camps where, for two days and nights fun and games are the best way to get to know someone new. The biggest event of the year was our black history program where each indivual wore clothing representing their nation. The diversity club has given me a new found appreciation for other cultures around the world. Respect for every culture in the world is what will create peace.

Obama Is Hope Becuase We Needed Change!

Former President George Bush certainly did make change here in the U.S and around the world. It Is a matter of perosnal opinion whether that change was good or not. Most Americans agree that change was needed but where those the right changes? Where those changes ones made to improve our lives? Or did they just put us more at risk and on edge? Our society needs help here in the United States and Obama is here to do so. Let's as a country unite and fight together for our equal rights as humans.

*Pride*

Pride is an amzing thing. I've always been proud of my well developed vocabulary, my ability to spell very well, and being able to speak very articulately.The pride you have within yourself determines you success or failure in everything.You can recognize yourself as worthy and capable of loving and being loved. A wise person in my life one said that it's called "self-esteem" because it has to come from you. He had a point, but it's not entirely true: we learn whether we are good or bad at stuff and our worth from other people before we finally internalise it and can do it ourselves. What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about life and plan to use it to the full. First about freedom, the look in a child's eye as he tells his parents the funfair is in town, about rights, of everyone, young or old, black or white, about right and wrong, politics, religion,god, and goddesses, the future, the past and the present unfolding. About the Man I hold and the Man I will hold tomorrow and memories, about love an about pain. I am very passionate for the family and to my future husband . The one I'm spend rest of my life with. There are so many great things to be passionate about being happy and finding people to share it with.
